A beautiful vintage cranberry blown art glass jug or vase. The glass piece is a beautiful clear cranberry color with an applied clear and uncolored handle. The jug/vase has round recessed base with rising rounded sides ending in a high shoulder having a short neck terminating in a round opening with a plain rim. The piece has ribbed appearance due to ribbing on the inside but is smooth on the outside, very nice! The piece is marked within the pontil in the center of the base in white print as to the words "PILGRIM CRANBERRY" in block letters. A beautiful piece of art glass to add to your collection. Uncertain but most likely mid to late 20th century.
Origin:
Purchased at an estate auction in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Size:
Measures ~6 1/2" high and ~2 1/4" in diameter at the base. The piece weighs about one pound.

Pilgrim Glass Company.
Marks:
Marked on the base "PILGRIM CRABERRY" in block letters.
Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece:
This is a nice piece of blown art glass by a well known cranberry glass maker worthy of a spot in your collection.
Condition:
The vase is in very good condition with no breaks, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. It has several minor scratches to the surface and some surface soiling. The piece has some deposit on the bottom of the interior, making it appear fogged, due to the fact that it had water in it at one point that was allowed to dry out. This would probably clean easily by using a CLR solution, but we leave that to the discretion of the new owner. Be that as it may, this is a nice piece of art glass worthy of a spot in your collection. Please see photos for additional condition information.
