Lookout Mountain GT XC Pod Harness with Parachute and Carrying Bag, 5’8”, 205# Pilot. Lightly used, excellent condition.
I’m selling this harness and parachute only because I’ve decided to focus all of my flying on sailplanes. I'd only flown for approximately 15 hours in this harness when the LZ closed, so the harness has been carefully stored since.
The harness fits a stocky, medium height individual. Its measurements are included in the photo. Chest 46”, Hips 43.5”, Floor to Top of Shoulder 58.5”. I am 5’8” tall and weighed about 205 lbs when I had this harness made for me.
I hung the harness outside and sprayed it generously with ScotchGard. The harness maker said that would help protect against stains. After each trip flying, I would carefully remove grass, dirt, etc.
The parachute is a LARA 250 from Wills Wing with a red, anodized swivel. I bought it new at the same time as the harness.The parachute will definitely need to be repacked. I had it out of the bag to inspect, but didn’t open up the gores individually. It all looks good, but I recommend having a rigger inspect the parachute.
The parachute pin bungees stretched over time and were no longer holding the pins as tightly as I would like. The Velcro on the parachute container is in excellent shape, but an accidental parachute deployment is very serious, so I removed the bungees. I’m including pull tabs and elastic cord to make several new parachute pin retainers. See the last photo for the package of supplies. They are important parts of the harness, easy to make now that I’ve provided the materials, and I know I'd prefer to make my own if I was buying this harness and parachute.
I am not interested in selling the parachute separately.

Thanks and good bidding. This is a terrific pod harness that should serve a pilot well for many, many years. Having a new harness made for you and adding a new parachute would cost about twice the “Buy It Now” price for my harness. There is no way I’d be selling it if I expected to fly hang gliders again.
