    Description

Here is a small jug in carnival glass made by Pilgrim Glass Company (no longer in existence) -- their only  glass line ever done in
    carnival glass (iridized) finish
.  Blown individually by their glass artists, they carry the pontil mark on back to reveal the mouth blown method (see photo).
They made these small pitchers/jugs in 17 different shapes and this bean pot one is darling and harder to find. Very desirable. It is done with the smooth, lined and dimpled surface which reflectsthe many colors irridized on the lovely mid-base blue color glass they called mid-line blue.  See photo of inside to find the base blue.  Done with a silver & gold irdescent exterior which has iridescent colors over ythat of purple, red, green, etc.  It has a gold ribbed applied handle.
The colors and shape create a  shift with light and move in color around the body, handle and the top which is scalloped.  PLEASE forgive the reflections in the photos.  This is me trying to grab the colors from the window and I couldn't figure out how to get myself and other background images out of the relections.  THERE IS NO DAMAGE TO THE BODY AND THE BASE BOTTOM HAS ONLY THE USUAL PONTIL MARK WHERE THE FLOW OF GLASS HAD TO BE CUT OFF.
( if you want more photos, I will try again to get better)
Each one of these little Pilgrim-made jugs was individually mouth blown, one at a time by a glass artisan so even those with the same shape will vary slightly and be one of a kind.
Quite a collectible! it stands about 4' tall and is wide from handle to side at about 4 1/2". It shows off like a star in a window and is also darling holding small flowers - very dainty. . Please disregard any other items in pictures - this listing is for only the Pilgrim carnival glass jug.
As I said, "quite a collectible". I was able, back in the 70's to gather a collection of at least one of all seventeen shapes and the one bud vase and now they are difficult to find.  These make a fine antique glass collection with wonderful display and versatile use, as one or as a grouping.  It has been praised by glass authority Glenn Thistlewood in the book, "A Century of Carnival Glass."
No chips, no cracks, no damage
.  Will pack it well and ship Priority Mail with tracking and insurance
